Th' Song Viewer, Matey

Th' song viewer be where yer songs appear, savvy? Ye can load songs into th' view usin' th' Songs Menu. When ye choose a book, a song, perform a search, browse by a category o' songs, or choose a set, those results be loaded into th' song viewer.

Each song displays full-screen in viewer. Ye can swipe up or down, or tap on th' top or bottom o' th' screen t' view th' song vertically. Ye can then swipe left or right, or tap on th' left or right side o' th' screen t' navigate through songs in th' viewer.

Viewin'

OnSong can view a wide array o' file formats includin' text-based chord charts and PDF files among others. They appear in th' song viewer and scroll horizontally. Likewise, songs can be browsed by scrollin' horizontally through th' collection or set.

Navigation

While swipein' be th' standard method o' navigatin' documents on mobile devices, it be challengin' t' perform these functions while playin' an instrument, Arrr! Th' song viewer also features areas o' th' screen that can be tapped fer navigation called Navigation Zones and Hot Corners.

If sections be selectable due t' lyrics projection, assigned scenes or MIDI, or if ye be usin' OnSong Connect/OnCue, th' section selection will override any other navigation zones or hot corners, ye scallywag.

Chords

If ye be usin' a text-based chord chart, ye can also tap on chords t' open th' Chord Inspector. This lets ye see different ways t' play th' chord on various instruments, matey.

While ye can change th' action that be performed when ye tap on a chord in Settings » Live Settings » Chord Playback, tappin' and holdin' on th' chords will always open th' Chord Inspector.

Sections

If ye be usin' Lyrics Projection, ye can tap on sections o' lyrics t' choose what be displayed on th' connected video display, Ahoy! Th' currently selected section be highlighted usin' a colored bar on th' left side o' th' screen. Ye can change th' color o' this bar in Settings » Display Settings » Song Viewer » Vertical Position Indicator.

Ye can tap and hold sections in th' song viewer t' open th' Section Mapping Menu. This menu allows ye t' map Scenes and MIDI Events t' a section o' th' song. In previous versions this was assigned t' th' section by its placement in th' song. In OnSong 1.999 and greater, new section assignments be set t' th' named label and stanza. Fer instance, MIDI and scenes assigned t' th' first part o' Chorus 1 will stay with th' Chorus even if its position changes, savvy?

When th' section be selected, th' scene be set and th' MIDI events be sent.

Layout

Ye can change th' way yer chord charts appear usin' th' Style Preferences Menu which changes th' font and styles fer th' chord chart, matey. Ye can also change th' page layout usin' th' Layout Screen found in th' Navigation Editor in th' Utilities Menu.
