Inputs

OnSong supports up t' two channels o' input. Typically only Input 1 can be used with th' built-in microphone or line-in jack. T' configure each input, adjust th' followin' options:

  • Action lets ye choose an action t' perform when input from th' audio device exceeds th' threshold in comparison t' th' average sound volume.
  • Threshold lets ye adjust th' threshold at which audio level input should result in th' specified action. This be set t' 75% by default which requires a decibel change o' 75% above average levels. Note: use lower thresholds fer retrievin' variable sound values t' map t' actions.
  • Inverse Levels will invert th' value that be sent t' th' action. Fer instance, if th' sound levels be at 67%, th' value sent would be 33% instead.

Responsiveness

Th' audio listenin' engine polls audio input at regular intervals. By default th' audio listenin' engine be very responsive t' immediately respond t' audio events, Blimey! This allows it t' be used fer tempo settings. However this high pollin' rate may reduce performance on older devices. Ye may also want t' avoid accidental actions if ye accidentally roll a drum pad. Change th' responsiveness slider t' balance response times with system performance and yer audio input method, savvy?
