๐ธ Go Time
Playing live uses all of your concentration & usually most of your limbs as well. (Yeah, we said it.) Triggering events for live performance needs to be easyโlike, stupidly easy. The live bar in OnSong is designed to give you honkin' big buttons for controlling live performance events, plus a visual status of each function so you know what's blowing up.
Tap a live bar button & boomโit starts or stops. Tap & hold it & you get a menu to tweak stuff like you actually know what you're doin'. The following buttons can live in the livebar. You can also toggle these on or off in the Utilities Yammerings » Editors » Navigation » Screen Tab. Or if you're feeling fancy, go to Settings » Live Settings » Live Bar » On-Screen Buttons.
The live bar consists of:
Tunes
The audio live bar button is your backing track BFF. Tap to start, pause, or stop. Tap & hold to pick a different track or link to some custom audio from your iTunes Music library because apparently your phone is a jukebox now.
Autoscroll
Playing live means your hands, feet & fingers are all booked. But what if your chord chart is longer than the screen? Plot twist: Autoscroll slowly creeps the chart from top to bottom over time so you don't have to do it yourself. You're welcome.
Click Track
Playing with a click track is totes great for practice or kickstarting your band. The metronome in OnSong remembers the BPM for each song so you nail the same tempo every. single. time. (We're basically your memory now.)
Share Your Jam
OnSong can wirelessly share & stream what's on your screen to your crew. The networking livebar button lets you turn sharing on & off because sometimes you want the spotlight & sometimes you don't.
