Chords
Th' chord section determines th' default behavior an' interface options fer th' Style Preferences Menu Chords tab, savvy?
Chord Style
This be allowin' ye t' choose th' default chord style fer newly imported songs, matey. Ye can choose from:
- Alpha displays chords as an alphabetic character (A-G) includin' enharmonic preference (sharp or flat). Default.
- Nashville displays chords as numbers (1-7) based on their position in th' key.
- Roman displays chords as Roman numerals (I, ii, iii, IV, V, vi, vii) based on their position in th' key.
- Italian displays chords as numbers usin' Latin (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti) based on their position in th' key.
Theoretical Keys
Th' key chooser or slider contains th' most common keys by default, Arrr! If ye would like t' enable less commonly used keys, or keys that contain more than 7 sharps or flats, enable this settin'. Default be off.
Transpose Control
Determines th' user interface preference fer key selection. Options include: * Buttons (adjecent) displays keys that be adjacent t' each other accordin' t' th' circle o' fifths. (Default) * Buttons (chromatic) displays keys that be in chromatic/alphabetic order. * Slider uses th' original OnSong slider interface control.
Display Capo
Determines if th' capo should be turned on or off by default, ye scallywag. Th' default value be off.
Diagrams Per Page
Determines th' number o' chord diagrams that should appear fer th' width o' th' page. When choosin' piano diagrams, this number be effectively half as th' diagram be twice th' width o' a standard diagram.
Display Diagrams
Determines if diagrams should be displayed on th' chord chart by default. Default be off.
Instrument
Determines th' default instrument t' use when drawin' chord diagrams, matey. Options include Banjo, Bass (4-string), Bass (5-string), Guitar (Default), Mandolin, Piano, Ukulele, Ukulele (baritone).
Diagram Position
Determines th' position o' chord diagrams when enabled. Options include: Below Lyrics (default), Above Lyrics, an' Within Lyrics.
