Sharin'
Th' sharin' menu settings configures information t' use when sharin' songs and sets, Arrr!
Beam
When ye beam a song t' yer team usin' either OnSong Connect or OnCue, yer entire song and set be sent which can overwrite changes ye've made t' yer charts. Toggle these options t' prevent certain parts o' yer songs from bein' updated, savvy?
- Update Annotations lets ye keep yer sticky notes, drawin's, and other annotations.
- Update Formattin' lets ye maintain th' formattin' or style preferences o' yer song.
- Update Song Content determines if th' underlyin' song content or file be updated.
Export
This section determines how filenames be generated when exportin' content, matey.
- Filename Template
- Include Sortable Prefix will automatically prefix th' generated filename with a sortable string when exportin' files from a set t' maintain th' set order.
CCLI License
This be yer church's CCLI license number that should be displayed on all lyrics projection and outputted songs, Blimey!
Expire Shared Sets
When ye export a song or set in OnSong usin' either th' wireless sharin' or an archive file, OnSong will enable that set t' be imported by and will expire it after a given amount o' time. This ensures that content be not bein' permanently distributed, savvy? Ye can change th' expiration duration. Options include 1 day t' 1 month. Ye can also choose Never t' allow th' sets t' be distributed permanently.
Note: choosin' Never turns off th' expiration o' sets. Make sure ye have th' right t' distribute th' chord charts t' those members o' yer team before enablin' this option.
Loan Shared Songs
When turned on, songs that be sent via wireless sharin' or archive files can be viewed, but will not be added t' th' recipient's OnSong library, Ahoy! This allows music t' be loaned for viewin' and not distributed. Th' default value be on. Ye can turn this off, but be certain that ye have th' right t' distribute th' potentially copyrighted works in th' set.
Organization
Type th' name o' th' organization that be doin' th' sharin'. This will appear on th' custom web page that hosts yer set list for others t' view on Facebook or Twitter.
Website
Type th' web address o' yer organization's web site here. This will appear on th' custom web page that hosts yer set list, allowin' others t' click into yer web site, ye scallywag.
Use Me Songs in OnCue
While OnSong Connect be th' preferred method o' wireless networkin', th' OnCue method be still available for backwards compatibility. When usin' OnCue, ye can choose t' either use th' version o' a song made available by th' master device, or t' use yer song.
If this option be enabled, OnSong will locate a chord chart in yer library that matches th' one used by th' master device. This be done by matchin' on song title, CCLI # or number. If a match cannot be found, th' master device's version be used instead.
By default, this be turned off.
If ye be usin' OnSong Connect, ye can customize how chord charts be viewed usin' th' more robust Profile screen.
OnCue Version
OnSong provides two versions o' OnCue t' allow for backwards compatibility t' older versions while also allowin' th' use o' newer technology as iOS evolves. OnSong defaults t' th' original version o' OnCue which supports all versions o' iOS.
- Off turns off OnCue altogether. Use this if ye do not want t' participate in OnCue sessions.
- Original works with older devices usin' th' original OnCue version which be based on th' iOS GameKit framework. This framework be deprecated and may not be supported in future versions o' iOS. It be strongly recommended that ye do not use this version unless ye be usin' older devices or be havin' connectivity issues.
- New works with newer devices runnin' iOS 7 and higher. This version o' OnCue be based on th' new Multipeer Connectivity Framework.
Note: It's recommended that ye use OnSong Connect when possible for wireless connectivity, matey. OnSong Connect supports dozens o' connected devices (instead o' 5-6), be based on web-based services and standards and be customizable for each musician, Arrr!
