No Hands? We Got U.
When you're on stage, you already have plenty of strings, buttons, keys, & pedals to juggle. Thankfully, OnSong lets you keep your hands where they belong — literally nowhere near the screen.
Setlists (aka Your Roadmap)
First things first: make a set & throw your songs in the order you'll actually perform 'em. Revolutionary, we know. This way you can skip between tunes without, y'know, touching the iPad like some kinda animal.
Foot Pedals (Your New Feet)
So you got a set. Tapping the screen edges works, sure. But what if we told you… you could use your actual feet instead?
OnSong works with popular foot pedals to create the ultimate hands-free stage flex. These bad boys scroll & navigate your songs straight outta the box. Wanna fine-tune? Hit the Foot Pedal Setup screen & go wild.
Autoscroll (The Lazy Approach)
OR, just turn on autoscroll & let OnSong slowly creeeeeep through your chord chart at whatever glacial pace you want. Feelin' fancy? Flip [Settings] » Live Settings » Live Bar » Autoscroll » Autoscroll Continually & OnSong will automatically yeet itself to the next song when it hits the bottom. Totes magic.
MIDI Integration (For the Nerds)
MIDI nerds, listen up. You can trigger songs from MIDI-compatible software (like Ableton Live, fancy!) & OnSong will play along like a good little sidekick. Scroll through sets using MIDI commands. Start your sequence. Watch OnSong follow. Chef's kiss.
Connected Devices (aka Band Telepathy)
Running multiple devices? Sharing that sweet Stage Monitor action? Keep your whole band's hands OFF their devices too. Here's the sauce:
- Connect — WiFi wizardry that shares your library & streams chord charts like you're a real pro.
- OnCue — Connect's weirder cousin. Same vibe, but Bluetooth too, so no WiFi router needed (for the camping tour, obvi).
- Stage Monitors — Turn those dusty HDTVs into fancy music stands. Your drummer's gonna love not squinting.
