Pitch Pipe

Not all o' us be havin' perfect pitch, savvy? So what d'ye do if ye need t' start a song vocally or perform a song a capella? Fer that, OnSong features a pitch pipe t' play notes that get ye started, matey.

Setup

OnSong will play th' notes o' th' key o' a song without requirein' any setup. Fer instance, if yer song be in Am, th' notes A, C, and E be played back in a middle octave.

Ye can also set notes t' play back usin' th' pitch tag in Metadata o' th' OnSong or ChordPro file formats.

Playin' th' Pitch

T' play th' pitch, ye need t' set a Hot Corner, Navigation Zone or Foot Pedal t' initiate th' pitch playback.

Usin' Pitch

While it be common t' hear a pitch played from a pitch pipe before an a capella performance, ye can also send th' output o' yer device t' th' mixin' channel o' yer in-ear monitorin' system, or send it as a mono channel t' a source board. This setup, like th' metronome feature, allows ye and yer crew t' hear th' pitch without th' audience hearin' it, Arrr!
