Same Wireless or Wired Network, Y'all

Both your devices gotta be on the same network. Like, actually the same one. Most routers are cool with wired & wireless. Your iPad probably ain't got an Ethernet cable dangling off it (because duh), but your Mac might be feelin' retro. Just make sure they're buddies on the same network, srsly.

Share Your Library With the Whole Dang Crew

OnSong is being all paranoid & security-conscious, so you gotta flip a switch to let your library hang out with other devices. Pop open the Share Menu & then crack open the Connect Screen. On the Servers Tab there's a Share your library with others toggle thingy that's gotta be ON, capisce?

Network Security Settings (aka The Fun Police)

FYI, your network's security settings are total buzzkills & can absolutely wreck the connection between your Mac app & iOS device. This connection uses OnSong Connect tech—basically your iOS device becomes a web server (fancy, right?) & screams about itself on the network using multicast DNS, a.k.a. Bonjour or mDNS. Some routers are like "nah fam" to this protocol, or your network's firewall is blockin' it harder than a bouncer at a club.

If things are still broken, pester your network admin or try a different network & see if that's the problem. KTHXBYE.
