Sneak a Peek (Maybe It Won't Suck?)
The song preview pane shows y\u{2019}all how your banger\u{2019}s gonna look inside OnSong. Like, we literally drew it using HTML 5 canvas magic the exact same way OnSong does it. Scroll around if you\u{2019}re impatient & wanna see the whole thing right now. Use the toolbar buttons to flip features & palettes on & off like you\u{2019}re some kinda DJ.
Note: If you\u{2019}re tryna view a file that\u{2019}s not just plain text, blame your web browser for whatever happens next, k? Most browsers can handle PDFs in a window no problem, but Word docs & other fancy stuff? Yeah those download to your computer & open somewhere else. Srsly.
Dim the Lights (Low Light Mode FTW)
Click this button to toggle low light mode like you\u{2019}re playing a concert or somethin\u{2019}. Not only does it show you how your chord chart looks all moody & romantic, but when you actually save your stuff, the device you\u{2019}re performin\u{2019} on switches to low light mode too. It\u{2019}s like magic except it\u{2019}s just code.
Pages
Click here to see your chord chart broken up into actual physical pages. We\u{2019}ll divide your song based on whatever Page Layout rules you set up in settings. Basically it shows you how it\u{2019}ll look when you print it out. Wild, right?
Lead
Turn on Lead & suddenly you\u{2019}re the puppet master. Whatever you do in Console—swap songs, scroll around, pick sections—it all happens on the other device too. So you can sit there with Console & remotely boss around an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch from across the room. Power trip much?
Follow
Turn on Follow & Console will load whatever song you\u{2019}re lookin\u{2019} at over on the host device. Plus the screen scrolls along with whatever changes happen there. Super handy if you actually care what song is loaded on the device. Which, y\u{2019}know, you probably should.
Go Full Makeover
This opens & closes the Style Palette so you can make your song look however you want in the preview & on the device. Get creative. Or don\u{2019}t. We\u{2019}re not your mom.
Chord Tweaks
This opens & closes the Chords Palette so you can transpose stuff, add a capo, & mess with how chords & diagrams show up on screen. It\u{2019}s like having a tiny guitarist in your pocket.
View As...
Lookin\u{2019} at external files like a PDF? This lets you see it in the preview pane. Switch back & forth between the PDF & the text-based version of the song just like the Use the imported file instead of OnSong toggle in the Conversion Toolbar over in Song Editor. It\u{2019}s basically the same thing but here. Riveting.
Yoink It Down
Click the down arrow to pick a format & download your chord chart. The host device does the heavy liftin\u{2019} so make sure you save your changes first or you\u{2019}ll be real sad.
Hit the print button & the host device will make a print-ready PDF & send it to your printer. Fair warnin\u{2019}: it\u{2019}ll ask you to save first so don\u{2019}t panic. That\u{2019}s normal.
