Overlay Picker

Th' overlay picker be allowin' ye t' create rich lyrics projection backgrounds by combinin' color, image or video with a semi-translucent overlay. These can be used t' enhance readability on standard video content, add a subtle flair t' an otherwise borin' graphic, or be used with Scenes as a spotlight.

When ye be finished makin' yer changes, tap on th' Done button in th' upper right or cancel yer changes by tappin' on th' Back or Cancel buttons.

Style

Choose one o' th' built-in overlay styles. Each be displayed with a preview as well as a checkmark next t' th' currently selected style.

  • None turns th' overlay off.
  • Fade fades from fully transparent on top t' black on th' bottom.
  • Grunge adds concrete-like weatherin' t' yer background image or video.
  • Pinstripe adds a thin vignette in combination with vertical pinstripe lines.
  • Rumple simulates wrinkled fabric and turns any background int' a cloth.
  • Spotlight can turn a projector int' a light for use with Scenes since ye can control th' background color o' yer lyrics projection background usin' sequences.
  • Victorian adds an old wallpaper-like allure t' yer images.
  • Vignette features a circular fade t' th' edges t' highlight background content.
  • Wintery features icy crystals around th' edge o' an image, useful when combined with a white overlay color.
  • Custom lets ye choose a custom image from th' Background Media Picker where th' opacity o' th' image be used provide th' opaque portions o' th' overlay. Use th' PNG (Portable Network Graphics) format for transparency.

Color

While th' standard color o' overlays be black, ye can choose from various greyscale shades in this picker includin' black, dark gray, gray, light gray and white. If th' overlay color has been set t' a different color usin' Scenes, th' color will appear t' th' right o' th' basic color.

Ye can also create yer own colors by tappin' on th' + button on th' right. If ye be interested in creatin' and managin' custom colors, learn more about th' Color Picker.

Opacity

Th' opacity o' th' overlay can be adjusted from between 0% and 100%. This be applied on top o' any opacity defined in a color. For instance, if a color has an opacity o' 50%, and th' opacity be set t' 50%, th' resultin' opacity o' th' overlay will be 25%.
