Makin' Adjustments

As ye be gettin' started scannin' pages, there be a few controls on th' side or bottom o' th' screen ye can use t' make a great scan from th' beginnin', savvy?

Flash

Th' first option be t' enable flash when takin' th' photograph fer th' scan. Th' default option be auto which determines if flash should be used by evaluatin' lightin' conditions. Ye can also tap on this t' turn flash on or off.

Color Mode

This option lets ye choose th' color mode t' use when takin' th' scan. By th' default, th' scanner will take th' picture usin' full color. Ye can choose from th' followin' options:

  • Color be a full color scan and be useful fer showin' high-contrast text along with colors. This may sacrifice accurate color reproduction fer better legibility o' text.
  • Grayscale be used fer documents that be printin' with black, but may have various levels o' shadin'.
  • Black & White be used fer text-only documents and may result in higher contrast and become easier t' convert into text-based documents usin' optical character recognition.
  • Photo be used fer scannin' photographs and will result in th' use o' more accurate color, but be not good fer scannin' textual documents.

Shutter Mode

Th' document scanner will automatically take a picture when it detects a rectangle and determines that a good scan can be made, arrr! Ye can enable Manual shutter mode which will require ye t' take th' picture usin' th' button on th' screen instead.
