User Interface

Ahoy, matey! Once ye've loaded Console into a web browser, ye be ready t' get t' work, savvy? Console be lettin' ye import or create songs as well as edit th' songs ye already have in yer OnSong library on th' device. This be accomplished by selectin' a song, makin' changes in th' editor, viewin' in th' real-time preview screen, and then savin'. Let's take a gander at th' different areas o' th' Console's interface t' help with each o' these tasks, ye scallywag.

Header

Th' top be th' header which contains th' OnSong logo. T' th' left o' th' logo be th' name o' th' current song. If ye have made changes t' th' save, a save button will appear t' th' right o' th' song title allowin' ye t' save changes back t' yer OnSong library on th' device. Finally, th' help link be located on th' far right and provides access t' this web site.

Palettes

Palettes be floatin' windows that can be placed around th' user interface. These palettes can be opened and closed usin' th' menubar o' th' followin' panes.

Song List

Th' song list be displayed on th' left and contains all th' songs in yer library. T' view and edit a song, just select it from th' list. This area also contains a search bar t' search songs in yer library as well as an add button t' create new songs or import existin' songs from yer computer. Tappin' on th' + button displays th' Add Songs Palette, Arrr!

Song Editor

Th' song editor appears in th' center o' th' screen and provides a text editor for makin' changes t' yer song. Th' toolbar items give ye access t' tools for managin' yer content such as th' metadata, insert and text tools palettes, as well toolbars t' convert text and delete th' song.

Song Preview

Th' song preview pane displays th' chord chart on th' right side and be updated as it be updated in th' song editor. Th' toolbar items allow ye t' turn certain features on and off such as Low Light mode, Pages mode, and follow mode. Th' toolbar also gives ye access t' additional palettes includin' style palette (t' make changes t' th' look o' th' song) and chords palette (t' transpose and capo). Lastly, ye can toggle between th' text and imported files with th' view as menu, or export and print usin' th' export menu and print button, matey!
