Speedy Chord Thingamajig

The speedy chord thingamajig pops up above the On-Screen Keyboard & basically just hands you all the chords from your song on a silver platter so you can yeet 'em into your lyrics like a boss.

Chords

Okay so plop your text cursor in the Text Editor wherever you want the chord to go. If you're rockin' bracketed chords, stick the cursor right in the lyrics where you want it. If you're doin' chords above the lyrics (fancy!), put it where you want the chord to float above the words. Then tap the chord you want. Done. You're welcome.

Chords literally just appear in whatever order they show up in your song & each one shows up once (groundbreaking, we know). Wanna rearrange 'em? Go beg the Settings » Menu Settings » Song Editor gods & they'll let you sort by popularity or alphabetically. Choose your own adventure.

Symbols

Over on the far right are some extra buttons for crammin' in symbols. Congrats, you don't gotta juggle keyboard modes like a circus clown. By default you get:

• [] yeets square brackets where your cursor is & then plops the cursor between 'em so you can add letters & make chords. Magic.
• # drops in a sharp symbol cuz sharps are fancy.
• b adds a flat symbol. Flats are like… the opposite of sharps? We dunno, we just work here.
• / inserts a slash for those bougie split bass chords.

Wanna change what symbols show up? Hit up Settings » Menu Settings » Song Editor & mess with the Additional Symbols field. You got this.

Too many chords & symbols crammin' the bar? Swipe left or right like you're scrollin' through TikTok. Or tap the arrow buttons on the sides when there's more stuff hidin' off-screen. Revolutionary.

Line Formatting

Wanna make the line your cursor's on look spicy? Tap the A button & the Line Formatting Menu opens up so you can change text color, highlight color, make it bold, make it italic, or go absolutely freakin' wild & do all of 'em.

Insert Chord

Feelin' creative? Tap the + button way over on the right to crack open the Chord Builder & cook up brand new chords that get dropped into your song & added to the quick chord bar automatically. You're basically a composer now.

Real talk: if you're sick of the quick chord bar existin', you can murder it with the Quick Chord Bar switch under Settings » Menu Settings » Song Editor. We won't judge.
