Drum Rack

Th' Drum Rack be th' full drum machine, matey: kits, beats, fills, a tempo, and an editor fer buildin' patterns o' yer own. Th' same engine drives th' Drums pedal from th' pedalboard, with everythin' on th' surface instead o' under three knobs. Arrr! We'll sail across th' rack from left to right:

Preset

This section lets ye choose both a kit and a beat t' perform, savvy?

Kit

This knob chooses a drum kit with specific types o' sounds like rock, jazz, or techno. Ye can also tap on th' knob t' choose from a menu.

Beat

This knob chooses a pattern that be specific t' th' kit. Ye can also tap on th' knob t' choose th' beat from a menu.

Add

Th' add button lets ye save th' currently defined custom beat into yer library by promptin' ye fer a name, ye scallywag.

Save

If ye already have a pattern, ye can save yer changes t' th' current preset, overwritin' it.

Out

This button opens a menu that lets ye determine if th' drum machine outputs its beats as MIDI note events and on what MIDI channels. It also lets ye choose a sound bank used t' create th' drum sounds, Blimey!

Parts

This section lets ye specify different beats fer different parts o' a song. Fer instance, ye may start th' intro with one beat and then switch t' another fer th' verse and another fer th' chorus. Ye can easily change these and th' drum machine configuration will be saved fer each part, matey.

Fill

This section be where ye can add fills into th' beat as it plays, Ahoy! This be quantized t' th' measure and beats. Fer instance, if ye tap on th' 2-measure fill at th' fourth beat o' th' song, th' app waits until th' next "3" t' start th' fill. This lets ye throw in 1, 2 and 4 beat fills in yer song. Options include:

• 1 Beat queues a one-measure fill at th' end o' th' measure.
• 2 Beat queues a two-measure fill at th' end o' th' measure.
• Bar queues a full measure fill with its duration dependent on th' time signature.
• Hold lets ye customize how long a fill lasts by holdin' th' button until th' fill should end. Be nice t' th' drummer, savvy?

Ye can also customize fills by tappin' and holdin' on th' 1 Beat, 2 Beat, and Bar buttons t' open th' Custom Fill Menu.

Pattern

Here be where ye can visualize th' beat, matey. Th' LED buttons light up as th' beat plays. Ye can also edit th' beat by tappin' in this area.

Control

Here be where ye can toggle th' drum machine on and off as well as control [beat sync]. Th' default be that th' drum machine will play in sync with th' master beat clock which runs th' metronome, arpeggiator, MIDI clock, etc. Tap on th' play button t' start th' beat and tap again t' stop. If ye start a fill and then tap stop, th' fill will complete and crash on th' downbeat like a real drummer, Arrr!

Menu

Ye can configure all aspects o' th' drum rack by tappin' on th' menu button, ye scallywag.
