Song Viewer

Th' song viewer pane displays how th' song will look inside o' OnSong. Ye can scroll this pane t' view th' entire song. Use th' toolbar t' toggle features and palettes on and off, savvy?

Note: If ye be viewin' a file that be not text-based, it be up t' th' web browser if and how th' file will be displayed. Most web browsers can view PDF files in a browser window, but other documents such as Microsoft Word will be downloaded t' yer computer fer viewin' in a separate application.

Low Light

Click on this button t' toggle low light mode on and off. Not only does this show ye how th' chord chart will look in th' preview, but when ye save yer changes th' host device will also switch t' low light mode too, Arrr!

Pages

Click on this button t' toggle viewin' th' chord chart on physical pages. This will divide yer song based on th' Page Layout options ye've set in settings. This can give ye an idea o' how th' chord chart will print, matey.

Lead

When ye turn on lead, action ye make in Console like changin' songs, scrollin' and selectin' sections also take place on th' host device. This allows Console t' remotely control another iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, blimey!

Follow

When ye turn on follow, Console will load th' currently viewed song on th' host device. In addition, th' screen will scroll along with any changes made on th' host device. This be handy fer knowin' th' song that be loaded on th' device, savvy?

Note that follow may not be available if yer network disallows web sockets from runnin'. Please try disablin' and enablin' Console again and refreshin' th' browser window.

Style

This opens and closes th' Style Palette, allowin' ye t' style how th' song should appear in th' preview and on th' device, Ahoy!

Chords

This opens and closes th' Chords Palette so ye can transpose, capo, and change th' way chords and diagrams appear on th' screen, matey.

View As...

When viewin' external files such as a PDF, this will display th' PDF in th' preview pane. Ye can switch between that and th' text-based version o' th' song similar t' th' Use th' imported file instead o' OnSong switch in th' Conversion Toolbar o' th' Song Editor.

Download

Click on th' down arrow t' choose a format t' download th' chord chart in. This will use th' host device t' create th' file so be sure t' save yer changes first, ye scallywag.

Print

Click on th' print button t' have th' host device generate th' print-ready PDF file and print it from yer computer. This will prompt ye t' save yer changes before printin', Arrr!
