Capo
Ahoy, matey! On many instruments a capo can be applied t' change th' pitch o' th' instrument t' a different key while maintainin' easier t' play chord formations. OnSong handles capo by modulatin' chords t' match th' transposed key. This allows ye t' know th' chord formation t' play while playin' in a different key. Th' followin' settings be used t' change how OnSong handles capoed chords, savvy?
Capo Modulates
By default, if a song be set t' th' key o' C# with capo set t' 1, th' chords be displayed in th' key o' C. This can be changed t' "Up" t' allow th' chords t' be modulated up. In this case if th' song be set t' th' key o' C#, th' outputted chords would be in th' key o' D. Options include:
- Down modulates chords down t' account fer th' applied capo. Default.
- Up modulates th' chords up t' account fer capo applied as transposition.
Display Dual Chords
In some cases, ye may share th' same chord chart with multiple people on different instruments. Th' guitarist may require th' chord t' be played when a capo be applied, but th' pianist and bassist need non-capoed chords. This settings allows both th' capoed and non-capoed t' be displayed. Options include:
- Off only th' capoed or non-capoed chord be displayed. Default.
- Capo Chord First displays th' capoed version o' th' chord first followed by th' non-capoed chord in parenthesis.
- Capo Chord Last displays th' non-capoed version o' th' chord first followed by th' capoed chord in parenthesis.
