Yoink from Dropbox

It's totes easy to yeet your song files from Dropbox. Dropbox is like, the easiest way to make, tweak, & stash your files on a computer, then magically access 'em on your mobile device or literally any other bleepin' gadget you own. Just pick the Dropbox option in the Throw Songs at Me screen & start diggin' through your Dropbox like you're lookin' for your dignity.

The Permission Stuff

Yo, first time you try to access Dropbox, OnSong's gonna ask you to pinky-promise to let it poke around in there. Don't worry—it opens a web-based auth screen right inside OnSong, so you don't have to abandon ship. Once your account is linked up, you're golden & can use Dropbox without signin' in again… unless things get weird & your account goes rogue for some reason.

Wanna peace out of Dropbox? Tap the sign-out button at the bottom of the screen & you're ditchin' it.

Diggin' Through Stuff

Once you're in, you can poke around your entire Dropbox like some kind of digital archaeologist. Tap folders to go deeper. While the app's fetchin' a folder's contents, you'll see "Loading…" like you're waitin' for your crush to text back.

The Hunt

Tap the search bar at the top to hunt down files & folders by name. Start typin' & watch results pop up that start with your query, or hit the "Search" button on your keyboard if you wanna find stuff that's got your search term buried somewhere in the filename.

Checkin' Boxes

Tap files to check & uncheck 'em for import. There's also a "Select All" & "Deselect All" button at the bottom if you're feelin' lazy & just wanna grab everything (or drop everything) in the current folder. Fair warnin': if you pick a backup file, OnSong will be like "Restore Library?" because importin' a backup is gonna nuke your existing songs, sets, & settings. If you say yes, only that backup gets imported & your library comes back from the dead.

The Import Jam

Got some files checked? Tap the Import button in the upper right & watch the magic happen. If you're tryna import somethin' you already imported, OnSong's gonna make you pick what to do with the dupe. The import progress shows up as a percentage in the top right. When it's done, you bounce back to the All Songs screen.

Sortin' Your Mess

Wanna rearrange the files & folders so pickin' 'em is less painful? Tap the sort icon in the lower left to open a menu with these riveting options:

• Name sorts files & folders alphabetically in asc­endin' order (A–Z, obvi).
• Size puts the chunky files on top.
• Modified puts the files you just messed with at the top.

Tap the asc­endin' & descendin' order buttons at the bottom to flip the direction & feel like you accomplished somethin'.

Right-Click Stuff

Tap & hold (iOS/iPadOS) or right-click (macOS) on a file or folder & unlock secret extra moves.

• Delete nukes the file or folder into oblivion.
• Rename lets you rebrand it while keepin' the file extension so you don't accidentally break everything.
