Read The Bleepin’ Manual
Tweak My Stuff
The settings screen is where you can eyeball your legal paperwork & also tweak how stuff gets imported. Riveting.
The Boring Legal Stuff
This section is packed with links to documents that'll put you to sleep:
- End User License Agreement — it's the standard App Store EULA you pinky-swore to when you bought this thing. Spoiler: nobody reads it.
- SongSelect Terms of Use — the terms for your SongSelect subscription. More riveting bedtime reading.
Make It Your Own (Or Try To)
Customize how your chord charts import, because apparently one way isn't enough.
By default OnSong imports both the text lyrics & the PDF chord chart (if you're lucky enough to have one), & makes the PDF the star of the show. Flip this off if you're like "nah, just gimme the words, fam."
Find songs with
Customize how the search function hunts down tunes. Default is chords or lyrics (go big or go home). You can also pick Chords or Lyrics, Chords only, Lyrics only, or Both (if you're feeling fancy).
Import into an existing song
This is ON by default & saves you from creating a million duplicate songs in your library (you're welcome). Seriously, leave this on unless you enjoy chaos.
Version
Pick the shiny new SongSelect 2.0 experience, or cling to the Original Version like it's 2015. Just tap to switch. When you bail on settings, you'll zoom back to the Add Songs menu, & SongSelect will use whichever interface you picked. Easy peasy.
