Arp? That a Thing?
Alright, so y\u{2019}all wanna make your arp do cool stuff in time with the beat? This menu\u{2019}s got your back, fam.
The Vibes (aka Type)
Type is literally just which direction the notes go & what comes next. Wild, we know.
- Up — starts at the bottom & climbs to the top, then whoosh back down. It\u{2019}s the default because it works under literally anything. The training wheels of arpeggios.
- Down — the reverse energy. High to low. Sad boi hours.
- Mirror — bounces up & then back down like a lil\u2019 elevator. No jumping around like a maniac, just smooth vibes.
- Alt — flips between the outside & inside notes of your chord. Sounds fancier & way less boring. You\u{2019}re welcome.
- Random — just yeets a note every step. Totes great for shimmery pad stuff. Terrible if anyone actually needs to follow along. LOL.
How Freakin\u{2019} Fast (aka Speed)
Speed = how many notes per beat. The arpeggio locks to your song\u{2019}s tempo, so it stays synced with all the other bloopin\u{2019} sounds the AuxDock is makin\u{2019}. Srsly, it\u{2019}s locked in.
- Quarter — one sad lil\u2019 note per beat.
- Eighth — two notes per beat. The default because our developers are lazy.
- 16th — four notes per beat. Getting spicy.
- Triplet — three per beat. Bouncy.
- Sextuplet — six per beat. ZOMG, chill out.
Type & Speed are totally independent, so mashup literally anything. Triplet & Sextuplet? They\u{2019}re the secret sauce to makin\u{2019} your arpeggio sound like it\u{2019}s actually alive & not just a bleepin\u{2019} metronome. Throw \u{2019}em against a straight-eighths song & boom—suddenly your part\u{2019}s got that rolling, swaggery feel that normal subdivisions could never. U feel us?
