OnSong's sampled instruments — th' pianos, organs, strings and brass in th' Sampler and th' Toneboard, and th' kits in th' Drum Rack — all come out o' SoundFont files (*.sf2). Th' Soundbanks Editor be where ye see which ones be loaded, add yer own, and choose which be th' default, savvy?

List Soundbanks

Every soundbank that be loaded be listed with its size, how many patches be found inside it, and where it came from, Arrr!:

• Bundled — shipped with th' OnSong^® app. Th' Standard bank be th' General MIDI set th' sampler uses out o' th' box, and it can't be removed.
• Custom — a file ye've imported.

Choosin' Soundbanks

A checkmark marks th' default soundbank that everythin' plays through. Tap on any row t' make it th' default, matey.

Editin' Soundbanks

Ye can delete sound fonts by swipin' right t' left and tappin' on th' revealed Delete button. Ye can also tap and hold on th' soundbank t' reveal a menu where ye can Rename or Delete th' soundbank. Bundled banks have no swipe action or menu, so th' Standard set be always there t' fall back on, Blimey!

Addin' Soundbanks

Tap on th' + button t' pick an .sf2 file usin' th' import menu. Th' file be copied into OnSong's own storage rather than referenced where it sits, so it travels on yer device and keeps workin' if th' original be moved or deleted. Th' list reloads as soon as th' import finishes, Ahoy!

Sound Fonts can be large and licensed so they be placed in app storage, not library storage. A 150 MB piano sounds wonderful and takes a moment t' load th' first time ye select it. They be importable th' way any other content be so ye can open one from Files, Mail or another app and choose OnSong.

Follow Program Change

When this be on, a Program Change message from a connected MIDI controller or a backin' track's MIDI channel moves th' Sampler's Family and Patch t' th' instrument that was asked for. Switch it off if ye'd rather yer chosen sound stay put no matter what th' gear around ye sends. Default be on, savvy?
