Editor
Sets allow ye t' perform songs fer a specific event, matey. T' create a set, ye tap on th' + button in th' set list t' open th' set editor. Here ye can specify th' followin' information about th' set, savvy?
Title
Th' title o' th' set be optional. If provided, th' set name be displayed in lists. If omitted, th' date and time o' th' set be displayed instead.
Date/Time
Th' date fer th' set be required and will automatically choose th' current date, or th' next date when if ye have enabled typical days. Ye can also optionally set a time fer th' set by tappin' on th' No Time button t' enable time and choose a time. When a time be selected, th' OnSong® app can list songs and moments in th' set list with th' time they be performed if ye set a duration on songs.
Today's date or th' nearest typical day be automatically selected. If ye have more than a few sets and add another, OnSong will prompt if ye would like t' schedule sets on Typical Days. If ye agree, OnSong will evaluate yer sets t' determine what days o' th' week ye usually create sets. Ye can change this preference by tappin' on th' wrench icon t' open th' Typical Days Settings screen.
Options
Th' followin' be options that can be configured t' control how th' OnSong® app behaves fer this set, Arrr!
Folders
Tappin' on this field will display th' Choose Folder Screen, allowin' ye t' choose one or more folders in which th' set should be placed. If ye've already selected a folder, th' set ye be creatin' be automatically added t' that one without requirin' ye t' choose additional folders. Optional.
Playback Continuity
If ye be usin' backin' tracks in yer set, this settin' allows ye t' play through all th' backin' tracks like a playlist, savvy? Th' default settin' can be found in Settings » Live Settings » Audio Playback.
- Off requires that each audio track be played with user interaction or a trigger.
- On allows audio tracks t' play through all songs in a set without user interaction.
- Repeat allows audio tracks in a set t' be played back continuously. Once th' last audio track in th' set be played, th' first audio track in th' set will be started.
Scenes
Scenes can be used t' set lyrics projection backgrounds as well as handle stage lightin'. Ye can assign a scene t' th' set t' change th' background color, image, or video behind lyrics as well as colors fer yer stage lights when th' set be loaded, matey.
Separate Styles
Sets contain songs from yer master library. But what if ye want t' change th' key o' a song in a set without affectin' th' song in yer master list? Ye can use separate styles, Blimey! This will allow ye t' style and transpose songs in this set without affectin' th' master song library. Options include.
- Default uses th' settings that ye have configured under th' Utilities Menu » Settings » Menu Settings » Songs » Sets.
- Off saves any changes ye make t' th' song within th' set t' yer master library. This will not affect other sets that have Separate Set/Song Styles turned on.
- On saves any changes made t' th' set and not t' th' master library or any other set.
Preferred Keys
Some musicians prefer t' perform or play in specific keys, savvy? Perhaps ye have a certain vocal range or be learnin' t' play an instrument. These settings allow ye t' have songs automatically transposed or capoed t' match yer preferences, Arrr!
Performance Keys
This option lets ye choose th' keys that work best when ye be performin'. Fer instance, ye may preferred t' sing in th' keys o' G or A. In that case, ye can choose G and A. OnSong will make sure that th' final key o' th' song be in one o' those keys by transposin' t' th' closest key.
Playable Keys
This option lets ye choose th' keys that ye can play in. Fer instance, ye may be learnin' guitar or piano and have not become an expert in keys with more sharps or flats. Ye can choose keys ye're comfortable playin' here like C, D, and G. OnSong will capo th' song t' make it playable in one o' th' preferred keys fer performance, matey.
