System Info (aka "The Reason You're Here")

The system information screen spills the tea on your OnSong library, drops the stats, & gives you creepy-detailed control over those extra screens nobody asked for.

Application

The application section is basically your OnSong app's résumé, including:

  • App Name is, shockingly, the name of the app you're literally running right now.
  • App Version is the actual version number that the App Store thinks is legit.
  • Operating System shows what OS you're stuck with & which version is judging you.
  • Total Storage is how much of your device's soul OnSong libraries have consumed.
  • Update Available button pops up when there's a newer, shinier version of OnSong lurking out there. Tap it & the App Store will hold your hand through the update. Awww.

Backup

So you restored a backup file into your library? Cool story. This will show you the name & when you did it.

  • Restored From is the backup file's name that got imported, assuming one exists.
  • Restored On is the date & time you successfully brought that backup back to life.

Libraries

This section nerds out about each library OnSong is managing. Buckle up:

  • Name is the library's name. If it's the one you're currently using, it gets a little asterisk because it's special.
  • Size is how much storage this library is hogging.

Collections

This section is basically your library's scoreboard, including:

  • Artists is how many awesome peeps are in your OnSong library.
  • Books is how many books you're using to wrangle your songs (living that organized life, huh?).
  • Folders is how many folders you've created to organize your sets (decluttering is hard, we get it).
  • Keys is the number of key signatures your library contains. (Flex your music theory knowledge!)
  • Sets is how many sets you've got stashed in your library.
  • Topics is how many topics you're using to search songs. (Tag it & bag it!)

Songs

This section flexes the songs available in your library, including:

  • Available shows how many songs are chillin' in your All Songs collection. Tap to peep 'em.
  • Deleted shows songs you marked for the digital dumpster. Tap to see 'em & rescue any you regret ditchin'.
  • Loaned shows songs you lent out to other peeps. Tap to see which ones are ghostin' you & preview 'em while you wait.

Video

This section is all about your main screen & any secondary screens you've plugged in. Including:

  • Main Screen gives the 411 on your iOS device's screen in its native resolution & orientation. If there's a number in brackets after the resolution, that's the DPI flex. Like, 768x1024 (2x) = a Retina iPad that's actually 1536x2048 under the hood. Fancy!
  • External Screen tells you if a secondary screen is hooked up. No screen? It says "Not Connected." Got one? It shows the resolution. Duh.
  • Available Modes shows up when you've got a secondary screen vibin'. This displays all the resolutions that external screen can handle. Tap to switch modes & feel like a tech wizard.
