OnSong 2019.6

OnSong 2019.6 has not yet been released. The following items have been added, changed or fixed:


  • Added the ability to import and export via SFTP.
  • Added the ability to specify MIDI and scenes for sections using the song editor.
  • Added the ability to display the notes being played in the chord diagram.
  • Added the ability to change how chord lines are rendered when there are non-chords on the same line.
  • Added the ability for the search to not take punctuation into account.
  • Added the ability to add more than one MIDI note event with different velocity levels to the MIDI global event list.
  • Added the ability to remove MIDI events from a MIDI global.
  • Added the ability to prompt the user to turn on separate styles when adding a duplicated song into a set.
  • Added the ability to scrub the current time of the currently playing backing track through a variable action.


  • Changed the Metronome » Control » Mute action to Metronome » Volume » Mute.
  • Changed the Display Finger Positions option to Display Note with options for (None, Finger Position, and Letter)
  • Changed the names of the Autoscroll » Speed » Up/Down to Increase/Decrease
  • Changed the names of volume actions to "Increase/Decrease" instead of "Up/Down".
  • Changed how pedal navigation triggers are specified in the foot pedal settings menu to use the full actions chooser.
  • Changed Last Played sorting option to show last played date as the byline to avoid being truncated.
  • Changed the MIDI command/event name to output the value of a control change when set.
  • Changed the MIDI command/event name to output the velocity of a note when set.
  • Changed how MIDI is initialized to be asynchronous to speed boot times and provide error notification.
  • Changed lyrics projection Lyrics action to Show/Hide/Toggle instead of just Clear.


  • Fixed an issue where you can rearrange MIDI global events below the Add MIDI Event row.
  • Fixed an issue where searches using accented characters are not finding songs in the song list and quick pick.
  • Fixed an issue where the audio trigger does not fire consistently.
  • Fixed an issue where SongSelect settings are not allowing you to change what type of file you want to import.
  • Fixed issues where “Control” actions would be called the wrong thing after being selected.
  • Fixed an issue which prevents Google products from accessing OnSong Connect due to cross-site scripting security.
  • Fixed an issue with the value/velocity slider width in the MIDI command editor.
  • Fixed an issue with restoring backup files on iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue where the navigation bar icons would not appear on certain models of iPhones running iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue where the user interface would freeze after closing popover menus and iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue with a delay in how alert controllers appear to be more performant on iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue with presenting tab controllers as form sheets in iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue with Console not connecting on iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue where the navigation bar icons would not appear on certain models of iPhones running iOS 13.
  • Fixed an issue where the increase/decrease tempo action could remove the tempo of the song.
  • Fixed an issue where MIDI globals added to a list of MIDI to send as an action attached to a sticky note would not retain the MIDI global in the list.
  • Fixed an issue where the icon song list jumps incorrectly when changing an icon in the list.
  • Fixed a discrepancy in how OnSong and Console detect non-chord values like n/c.
  • Fixed a crash condition caused by the CoreMIDI driver initialization hanging during app launch.
  • Fixed an issue in how chord notations lines are rendered when using non-alpha chord systems.
